A regu].ax meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurels Montana, was held in the Council Chambers, and was called to order key Mayor Louis Ni.

Reports cif the Patrolmen and the Police Judge Report were presented.
Motion was made by Rodgers end seconded by Burns that these rP~orts be
approved. Motion carried.

Honorable Mayor of the City of Laurel & City Council.
I petition the City of Laurel to brim w3.th3.n. the City
Limits, the East ~ o~ Blocks Z, 2, & 3 of Mt. Vista
Subclivis9_on. Anything you can do to expedite this
situation will be appreciated as I have a contractor who wants to put u~ a home on lots 3 & Block 3.
Mr. John D~].ey is completing the sees for the sewer for
th~s~ three Half blocks and the contractor has noti.~ied
me he wants to Mart building as soon a~ he can get a
permit.

Annual fire report of the Laurel Volunteer Fsre Department way pre-
sentea and ordered placed on file. Also ~ copy of a letter written to u~.rland
Clay asking that he board up his home at 641 Third AvPnue~ since it is a
hazard after the fire.

Several persons living outside the City Zimits appeared before the
council regarding John D~.ley~~ proposed trailer court. Alderman Kilpatrick
gave a very comprehensive and clear report on his committees inv~st3gation
of this matter. Since €a1.1 the protests ~,re far ~,h~ad of any type of council
action, it was the opinion of the council that this body go on to the n.e~ or. der of business.
George Prill appeared b~;fore 1~,he council in connection with the
sewer paid for by N~rs. Walter Tngrah~zn. According to a letter on ~°ile at
the City Hall, she i~ to be paid a portion of this cost for each sewer t~.p
allowed on this ling. The City Attorney reported on this. After discussion,
the l~a~ror turned this matter over to thy; City Attorne~~ the City Engineer and the Sewer Comrr?ittee.
Ebers~riller reported on work done by the negotiating conmaittee, and
stated that the Comm3.tt~e had recommend~;d Addendum "C" with the exception of
overtime pay other than compensatory time. Kilpatra.ek made the motion to
accept the proposal entirel~* on the corriznittee ~ s recomr;iendation. Seconc~.ed by Rocl.gers. ~ueh discussion. Parker asked for a recess which was granted.
I~enhardt and B~ven represented the Union. Upon reconv~nn~ the meeting
the reeorrunen~ation of the committee wag presented., and upon thy: votes all
alderr,~FZn present voted to accept. Beven proposed Addendum f'B" fc~r signatures.

Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
RodgErs brought up a proposal by Gunter regarding a single unit
trailer which h~ would like to mo~r~ and replace with a double trailer on
a perarzan~nt foundat3.on. He way advised to apply through the Engineer's office.
D~.1ey reported that the ;3treet end Alley Commit~~e was working on
instal.l:ing the Traffic light at fith Street and First Avenue .
Rodgers stated the the Police Committee was oing to set up duty
proc~dur~s.
Ebersviller repor~Ged flooding on. 1st Street from Third Avenue to
~S3xth avenue .
Mayor talked about Morrison-~airle studying the storm Sewer project.
Kilpatrick stated that the Catholic Church h~.~ chimes end there is some objection to these chimes.
Parker reported on re-apportionment. Thy Committee recommends the
new wards as per the map. First w~.rd to in~lud~ a1.1 the South Side & North
to Third atreet, and from Test City limits fast to l~ryroming, and South to
Nlsin Street, to include about 600 registered voters. Second ~?ard to rum.
from Third Street to Sixth Street, and from West City limits East to Wyom3.ng Avenue, to i~~iua~ approximately 620 voters. Third TNard to rum from Sixth
Street North to C3~ty L3rr~its, and from West City Z3.mits East to Wyoming, and
North to City Limits, to include approximately l~71~ Voters. Fourth Ward. to
run from Main street North to City limits, and from Wyoming East to City
Limits to include approximately 602 Voters. After discussion, rrsotion was
made by Ebersviller and seconded by Kilpatrick that the committee's r~cenmimenda-
tion be ~.pproved. Motion Berried.
Them being no further business to come before the councils motion
was mad. by Rodgers, anal seconded by Behm, that the meeting be adjourned.
