Yovetich, at 7s~~ o~elock, P.M., on Monday, November 6, 1973. Upon taking roll call, the following aldermen answered presents Tenn Hard Gay Easton Tom Kilpatrick E. H. Ebersviller Bob Burrs Chuck Rod~er~ Ervin Mettig~r Henry Geer The minutes of the previous meeting of October 16, 1973, wire read. Motion was made by Eber~v3.l1~r and seconded by Burns that the minutes b~ approved as read. MotioM carried. Certain reports of the City of Laurels were pr~~ented fnr approval a~ follows City Clerks Cash Report, City Clerks Trial Balance and the pity Treasurers s Fir~anci~7. Statement. Motion was made by Easton and seconded by Kilpatrick that these reports be approved. Motion carried. Penney Co. 266.9L~ Motion was made by Metzger and seconded by Rodgers that the claims be approved. Burns questioned the claim frc~n Yellowstone-County Implement concerning work done on the Cemetery Lawn ~2ower. He felt the charge ~s~~ labor was such t4 h3.gh. After discussion, Rodgers withdrew his second and Metzger withdrew his motion. Metzger then made a motion to approve the claims excluding the one from Yellow- stone Counter Implement. Seconded by Burns and the Motion carried. Daley ~o chsck,on this claim. The Clerk reported on a request for a City License fr~n Bob Horning at 906 Second Ave. for upholstering ire his home. Kilpatrick stated that there are other families in this area that already have a business in their home. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Ebersviller that this matter be I referred to the Zoning Board. Motion carried. They wi11 meet at least once a month. Mot3.on was made by Hard and seconded by FSilpatrick to accept the ccxnmittee changes. Motion carried. I i I i I Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Louie reported that we have received the lease for 10 ac-reg. of land for a sanitary landfill. When the new dump opezas the council will set I up the rules and regulations. Kilpatrick reported for the negotiating cc~mm t~Gee end skated that they had settled at 26¢ an hr. this year and 27¢ an hour next year, anal ~.l.sa agreed verbally to make a study on fob elar,~ifi~ation. This raise affects only union members. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Rodgers to accept the working agreement and addendum A. After discussion, Radger~ with- drew his second and Kilpatrick withdrew his motion. It was decided that if one word way changed in the agreement it would be acceptabe. Articsle I -Recognition changed from "as listed by elassi~ica~ion in addendum A" to "Not listed by classification in addendum A". With this correction, motion was made by Kilpatrick seconded by Rodgers to accept the contract and addendum A. Motion carried. Ebersviller stated that a Certificate of Deposit from the Yellowstone Bank was ~c~ing due on Nov. 2~th, and asked the council to convert this C.D, to s U.S. Treas. Bill which was paying more interest. Ebersviller made this in the form of a motion seconded by Burn . Motion carried. Vicky Look stated that she would like to have a meeting with all the aldermen Thursday Night Nov. 8th, at 6s3Q so that she can explain what she is doing. A Peter Guthridge fr~n the South Central Regional Health Planning Council appeared before the council to ask any interested aldermen to attend a z~eeting next meek explaining the planning end implementation of health services and facilities for Yellowstone county. Lenh~rdt reported that Mydland and Calligan were attending a Police school in Billings, and wou7.d graduate Dec. 27th. Dave Powers r~port~d that George Hoeke~a has been notified to vacate hip building by the lst of the year. The Fire Dept. would like to begin work on the building so ghat they can be in by next spring. Powers also presented for council approval cone-year mutual a3.d firs protection agreement with the City of Billings. Powers stated that it would be to our benefit to enter into th3.s contract. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and ~ecanded by Burns to accept this agreement. Motion carried. Daley requested permission to send Dick Metzger, Valley Hegel and Ji.m Rec~aan to a water and wastewater operators school in Hctxeman. Motion way made by Metzger and seconded by Kilpatrick to send these men to this school. Motion carried. There being no fzzrther business to come before the council at this time, motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried. Sharon L.
