Mayor Yovetich reported that we have received the prel3~inary drift on the seer report of the Comprehensive Plan and should rec~3.ve the ~r~.ter report 3n about 10 days. Mi~Ce McCollum ~.ppeared before the council to dis- ~uss this matter and an~w~er any questions the council may have. More study tp take place at a later date. l~syor reported on insect spraying. There was Bauch d3.~cu~sion ss to whethsr the people re~al.ly wanted ~s to spray or nvt. Motion way made by Burns and .seconded by E~,s~tox~ that we quit spraying all together. Easton ~ugge~t spraying the parks and breeding areas. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Metzger t~ table this m~.tter until the next ~e~ting since the citg crew w~.~ scheduled to ssprsy ton~.ght. Motion carried-with Burn voting "no". Kii.lpatriak asked about sending the two new patrol~ne~ to school. This ~~tter referred to the T~Tay~ and Means Cc~epmitte~ to cane up with a recc~ndaton. Ebersvill.er reported that the per~oru~el ec ittee was still negotiating on wages. Ebersviller repox~ed on a garbage problem between two n~igY~bors ors Third Ave. This m~.tter f~eferred to the chief of police to get in tc~iaeh with the parties involved. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Sber~vill~r reported that several people around town have not yet put in their curb end butter. Ebersv3.ller ~u~ge~ted notifying these people ghat if the work i~ not dons by a c~rtai~ date that the city will do the work and the cost will be put o~ their takes. All aldex~nen to chick their wards for people in violation. ~bersvilZer reported on 1o~r tree limbs. The only problem with cutting the limbs is that we dc~n~t hive any place to dump theme. It way suggested hiring Perry Roderick to g0 mound town sz-ith his shredder. This mattes referred to the Stet and Alley Committee to codne back witY~ recc endation on cutting and disposing of tree 13~bs. Mayor Yovetich presented a Resolution for a Garbage Di~~~^ ct frc~ the County CommisQio~ers. Eber:viper made a motion seconded by Kilpatri.ek that Laurel be e~zcluded frcxr~ this district. Al Bond, Co, Sanitarian, re- posted on th3.s utter. After much diseus~ion~ Kilpatrick withdrew hi~a seEOnd and Ebersviller w3.~hdrew has tt~otic~r~. Motion was them made by Easton and seconded by Metzger -ghat a letter be written to the County C~m3.sa3.on~r~ stating that we received their 1~t~er and we ~r3.11 not3.fy ~he~ wi.thin a reaaonable l~ng~h of time whether to accept ~r r~~ect the Resolution on the Garbage District. Motican carried. Ed Martians chaix^~nan cf the Z~i.ng Bcaard, appeared before the council in regards to sane fends in the Northwest pert of tc He sated that then fences were co~er~u g city property and recc ended that the city abide by the prese~.t Ordinance. Motion was made by Easton and seconded by Ebersviller to accept the reec:~nendaticui of the Zoning Board. Motion carried with Kilpatrick voting "nog'. Ki~pa~rick then made a motic~, ~~conded by Hard that the poEple in violation be notif~~d to correct the aitu~.~ion to comply w3.th the (3rdinan.ce within 9D days. Motion carried ~an.animo~sly. City Engineer to contest these people. Ed Martian also reported that amen living between alder and Idaho wants to build a garage but the ~.ll.e~ dc~esn~~ go all the way through.
