Ebersviller and seconded by Burns that the minutes be approved as read.

These being the only two h3.ds received, the Mayor called a
fifteen minute rec~:ss for the purpose of consider3.ng the bids.
Upon re-conv~n3.ng the muting, motion was made by ftadgers and
secor~d~d by Ei~ersviller that the bid of Fiehtner Chevrolet be accepted. l~otivn
carried.
Certain reports of the City of Laurel werE presented for approval
as follows: City C1erk~s Cash report, Cleri~'~ Trial Balance, City Treasurer's
financial report. Motion was made by Ebersviller and ~~cond~d by Behm that these
reports be approved. lotion carried.
Report of the Police Judge, and reports of the patrolmen were pr~s~ented for approval. Lotion was made by Rodgers and seconded by Burns that these

A resolution r~;garding the terms of office for the aldermen in the
c~.ng city election was presented as fol~4wss

Bing a resolution stagger~.ng the terms of aldermen elected in the year 19'73:
l~+iotion way made b~ A"etzger and seconded by Ebersviller that this resolution be
approved. Lotion carr3~ed.
The Mayor reported that we now have bath payments for the Rev~nu~-
Sharing plan for 19721 ~nnd that the council should be th3.nka.ng 3.n termer of first
priorities in plans for this money at budget time.
Behm suggested a new flag for the Council Chambers. The City Ha11 also
needs a near flag, and ranother has been requested for the Water Plan. Motion was
made by Metzger and seconded by Kilpatrick that three new flags be ord~sr~d. Mo~Gion
carried. Lenhardt to mG.lce inquiri~~.
Behm stated that he would agree to fill the vacancy on the Air-Pollution
Control :board a~ ~.ppo3.ntee of thc~ Mayor. Motion was made by Kilpatrick end
~eeonded by Eber~v:i.ller that the Mayors appointment be approved. Lotion carried.
The Mayor told the Clerk to write a letter to T~arvin Carter.

Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
The Mayor reported that Laurel was to havE one person on the ~-man
City-County Health Board, and Mated he would appoint Leonard Ydo].1an, ~uperin- tendent o~ Schools. Motion was made by Rehm and seconded by I+?etzger that this
appointment be approved. Motion carried.
Rodgers commended the City crew for plac3n~ the fire esaap~.
Rodgers reported that Rosemary Blohm had attended a meeting in Helena. .regarding the Ambulance Association. The fee is $70.00 for ~h~ first year and
$ti~.00 per year thereafter. Rodgers then made the motion that the City of Laurel
Ambulance Service apply for membership to this Association. Seconde3 by Kilpatr3.~k.
Notion carried.
Rodgers reported a resident ne~d.3_ng an Ambulance badly and called one
frc~n Billings since they clidn't Irnow how to get the Laurel Ambulance. He suggested getting someone int~re~ted in getting some stickers printed for indivi.dua3. t~lephone~,
since the Ambulance is not listed in the telephone book.
Eb~rsviller reported ghat the dog catcher started to work the f3.rst of
the month.
There was discussion as to the City-owned property on the youth side. The Mayor asked that the P~.rk Board look into this.
Chief of. Police Lenhardt asked for the use of Riverside Hall for a
Wedd3.n~ dance on June 9th. It hay been past policy not to rend the Hall from
N:emoria.l Day to Labor Day. The Mayor referred this matter to the Park Committee.
Ken Beven appeared before the council and reque~~ed a meeting with the
Water Comm3.ttee and the City Engineer after the regular meeting for about ten
m3.nu~te s .

After much discussion, motion was made by Behm that Reix~.a.~t meet with the St~t~ Zand Board with the primary idea o£ entering into a perpetual easement w3.th the
County of Yellowstone, and if this is not possible, to inter into a point purchase
agreement for land to be used as a ~~.tary 1~nd fill. SECOnded. by Burns.
Lotion caxried.
There being no further business to comp before the council at this
session, motion was duly Wade and seconded that the meeting be adjourned. I~~ot an carried.
