A Special meeting of the City Counci]. of the City of Laurel, Mont..,
was held in the oId fire hall, and called to order by Mayor Larry D. Herman,
at 7:00 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, December 13, ].977.

Council members present: Albert Ehrlick Harold Burns
Donald Meyers Thomas Kilpatrick
Charles Rodgers Susan Garter. Ronald Massey Ervin Metzger
This meeting was called for the purpose of hearing the committee's
report on the bids for the new garbage truck.
BIDS ON GARBAGE TRUCK:
Niation by Alderman Rodgers: That the council accept the committee's
report and to stay with the purchase of the Grun~her by Rapid Rail
at a cast of $38,983.00. Seconded by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried.
RESOLUTION N0. I65]:
BEING A RESOLUTI(7N AUTI3URIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO THE
NECESSARY DQCUMENT5 FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE GRUNCHER GARBAGE TRUCK.
Motion by Alderman Rodgers: That Resolution No. 1651 be passed and
adopted. Seconded by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried.
PERSONNEL MATTERS:

Discussion to decide the follQwinq;
(1) - No. of people to be laid of€
(2) - Court clerk
(3} - All 3 C.E.T.A. persons.
Council should decide on three or four mare persons and report to the next
council meeting.

Made complimentary remarks regarding the work of the three new
patrolmen. I

ALDERMAN EHRLTCK:
Motion by Alderman Ehrlick: To aba].ish three jobs, with the idea of going to seasonal work in the summer. Seconded by Alderman
Massey. Carried.
