an the job during the strike. Burns commended the supervisors an a good job.
.Mayor appointed the Finance Committee to make a brief report to the
council on the financial condition of the City.
Magor and Counci.2 authorized Ken Beven to attend a convention from
November 14~h through the 18th, along with one or two other employees.
There being no further business to come before the council at this
session, meeting was adjourned.

This is the first re~ulax cour?cil meeting attended by a
i c~uo~rum of the council since occurance of the ci.ty em~lavee's stgike in Septembers The regular council meetings reauixed by
state law's axa.d ordinance of this councild could not be held
because of a lack of quorum. The lack of a c~uoruan was riot due to
I~ ' ~.llra~~s o~ absence from' the city but b~ a failure of tk~.e councilmen
II to ea~~eg the city hall as it would have necessitated crossi~~ a
picket line,
As an effective tool of labor, the x~icket line should be
honored, But as administrators elected officials must verform

Thy ci.ty supervisors deserve a commendation for their administration
