On May 8th, the Chamber will sponsor Superhost Training for all interested in attending. This training will
lake place at Western Security Bank for two sessions. One session will be hold at 8:30 a.m. and last until
noon, and the other session will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until 9:00 p.m. The cost of attending this
training is $15.00 per pc,son. To register for this training, call the office at 628-8105.
The Chamber now has a Community Directory for the porl:~se of offering flee advertising of Chamber
mamber businesses. You may design your own advertisement for this directory. You will need to use an 8
~ inch wide by 5 ¼ inch long sheet of paper or index card for this. If you have more than one business or
fit into more than one category, please send an advertisement for each one. (Example - the Laurel Outlook
is not only a newspaper but also a printer, therefore, they would fit into two categories.)
The Chamber Website Committee has been working to create a web site and get on line. If you have an
e.mail address, please notify the Chamber office of this address. The Chamber would like to be able to
send the Chamber Board Minutes, Newsletter, and other informalien to the membership through the net.
We would alan like to offer links from out website to all Chamber member businesses.
It is not too early to start thinking about getting registered for the Fourth of July Parade. A fee of $5.00 is
charged to the participants in the parade. This is a great way to target thousands ofpenple with advertising
your business!! Call the office or stop by to pick up your registration form.
The Laurel Chamber of Conuncrce will host the 3"t Annual Chief Joseph Run. Registration forms are
available now. If you ere interested in becoming a sponsor or annmer in this event, call the office for more
information.
On June 8th, Paul Reicheft from Helena, will hold a presenlation for all business owners on Business
Improvement Districts. This presentation will be held at the Laurel Public Library. For more information,
contact the Laurel Revitalization League at 628-8105.
The Laorel Revitnliza~on League is asking for your help to finish painting the onderpass on Saturday, May
6m at 7:00 a.ra. A work crew startad painting the underpass last Saturday, but due to the weather, was
unable to finish. Any help received would be greatly appreciated!
