Yovet3ch~ at 7x00 0~clock, P.1~.~ on Mondaq, Jane 11,t, 1976•
Upon taking roll call, the following aldermen a~wered present: I'
aay Easton ~c~ T~3.lpatriek Ghuck Rodgers E. H. Ebersvi.ll~r Herrman Michael.
This meeting was called for the purpose of clearing up sc~n~ ~isund~r-
standings regarding the City-County Planning Board, the Zoning Bcaard of Adjust-
ments, the Board of Appeals, and the Zoning Commieion.
After two hours during which time the Cit~* Attorney explained the
di.f~erenc~ in the Boards, and what their duties are, the results were a.s
~ ~ollow~s
1. The Zoning Board of Adjtastanents, also c~.l.l~d the Board o~
Appeals, can grant vaxian¢es but can not recommend gone changes.
2. City County Planning Board pan act also a~ a zofling cc nission,
thin eliminating the need for a City Zoning Ca~mi~sion and a Cot~r~ty Zmr~ing
cc~nmission.
Motion was m~.de by Kilpatrick and seconded by Easton that the
newly appointed Zonang Cammission be abolished. Motion carried. City Attorney masked that those who were appointed to the Zoning Cc~mmissioA be asked to stay
on anal serve as a Citizen's advisory C< ittee.
After discussion, K3.lpatricl~ made the motion to have the City County
Planning Board function as a Zoning Gcarunission also, and to increase the
members from 9 to 1Z persons. Second¢d by Michael. Thy Mayor thin appointed Otto Preikszas as the ld~h person. Motion carried.
Motion was also made by Kilpatrick and s¢conded by Ebersviller that
the ointment be approved. Motion e~rr3.ed.
Motion way made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Eber~vi.ller to ask tk~~
City-County Planning Board to cheek intca the accepting lamed or mosey for park situation when a new aubdivi~ion canes into the City. lotion carried.
The Mayor then asked Bill Siegel, Gary Pfaff, araee Stadalmari end
Ann Morrow to act as a Citi2~en' ~ Gomn~itt~e in an advisory capacity and Mated
that he would appoint one more-person.
there being no further business to ecjm~ before the council at th3.~
session, mot3.on way made and seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Motion
