Motion was made by Eber~viller and seconded by Kilpatrick that the minu~e~a be approved with the correction requested by Kilpatrick. Motion carried. I Letter was read from the lst Security Bank regarding a commitment 'I for a loan of $8~,80~ for ga.~bage equiprne~t. Rodgers reported on this. The ~ Mayor ttarued this natter back to the cc~nittee to eon~act the Yellowstone Bank also. "Ways and Me~n~" ccxnmit~ee to be given the authority tm~aet. Motion made to this effect by Kilpatrick and ~eco~ded by Rodgers. Motion carried. Rodgers reported on the garbage charges. Much discus~ior~ on phis subject. C~.ty Attorney i.nstrueted to draw up Resolution No. 15lt0 ors garbage rates end publish game in the Laurel Outlook. Mrs. Kathleen Phillips appeared before the council requesting more information on the garbage situation. Montee reported being ~or~gratulated on the fact that the city of Laurel i~ planning this ehang~. Jude Menello reported on certain of his plans, for aerta3n reports, and reported a ~ninimara bond to be $20.00. He asked the council to adopt the new schedule and have it be effective ground June 15th, 1976. Carter reportefl to the Cotancil that the Park Cc itte~ had purchased .new trailer, and that the office would nod pay the claim. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Easton that this Resolution be deleared passed and. adopted. Carter also asked For a new lawn mower for Riverside Park. I Motion was made by Eaton and seconded by Rodgers ghat these changes b~; s11c>w~d. Motion carried. I After discussion and explanation, motion was made by M~tz~er ~d seconded by Michael that the city allow no further city surveys of private propei^ty. Moticm carried. Metzger inquired as to our streets signs. D:i,ck Metzger r~:ported that the signs haQe rived. T~.lpatrick wanted to know then they were to be pt~t up. D. Metzger reported on this. E. Metzger reported on the Utility ~c~panie~ digging ~p the streets and all~~r~ and not putting them beck in the same condition. Rodgers asked permission to leave the state. Motion was made by Kilpatrick anal ~~conded by Metzger that pexgniss3.on b~ granted. Motion carried. A Mrs. Caudillo appeared before the council 3.nquirir~g abort the location of the new post office. She was informed that the city h~.s no c~trol over the Federal Goverment. Kilpatrick presented a petition as follow : P E T I T I O N We, the under~ig~ed, all residents of 11th St. West ~d Mt. View Blvd. between 13~ Ave. North and 6th Ave. forth of the City o~ L~t~rel~ do hereby petition the City Gourtcil of La~re1 to erect or ~OA$tI`'41Ct ~',11Y'~E (3) speed burapg on each of the above: ~~nes streets to slow the tr~ffie using these two streets. The auto traffic Wising these two streets ~xeeed the speed limit and endangers ch3.ldr~n living in the area and playing i~ Kiwani~ Park. Motion was then made by Kilpatrick and seconded byr Carter that the _ Magorts appointments be approw~d. Motion carried.
