Monte stated that h~ way having trouble with the Police Ch3.~f in suppling him with the n~c~~~ary personnel recmrd~. Kilpa~ri~k asked the Mayor how much authority the co~rnnittees have. City Attorney Mated tha.~C the Mayor should design~t~ the ec ittee~ a~.thorit~r when he makes the appointments. Upon taking roil call vole, all aldex~n.en prese~~ voted "Aye"~ and said ordinance No. 615 be d~elared pa~s~d and adopted. The M~.yor then appointed Inez Vaughn for a thr~;e y~,ar period, Chuck GibZ~~n for. a two yeax period sand another ~n~b~r ~o be appc»i~ted at a. later date. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded b~ Ebersviller to accept the Mayor's appointments. Motion carried. The ourit of the grant would be ~63,00~.04. This letter referred to Jim Twcxneg to canple~e the forms for full application. The Mayor reported that the free program is going real food. Br~ee Teeters and Don M~yer$ represen~in~ the Jayc~e~ appeared before the council to request the use of the city parking lot for a dane~+ the night of July 3rci. Thep would also like to ~~11 beer. Mon~~e reported that the bids on the garbage sy~te~ wi11 close at 2s0~ o~elock~ P.M., on Wednesd~.y~ Mag 5th. D1Ck M6'~Zg@T reported on the work schedule for May. Bevan asked per~ai~sion to purchase a small portable chlorinator for a sand-by wit at ~ cost of about $95~.0~• This unit xould be ptircha~~d nom and paid for out of the new budget in J~.ly.
