M. Upon taking roll call, the following aldermen answered presents H. ~bersviller~ Sr. Larry Herman Gag Eaton Sue Carter Tom Kilpatrick Chue~C Rodgers The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion was made by Kilpatrick ~.nd seconded by Ebersviller that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. setter was read from the Director of the Comraunitg Action Program regardir~ th~• appointment of a representative from laurel. ~'he 1Kagor thin tee-appointed Mrs. Donna Kilpatrick to serve another term. Motion was ftia.de by Ti~~ton and seconded by Ailpatriek that this appointment be approved, ar~d a letter written to the Director ir~.forming her of this fact. Motioncarried. City Engineer asked permission to leave the state. Motion was made by Hermaxl and seconded by Rodgers that perm3.ssion be granted. Motion carried. Kilpatrick asked the Fire Chief to report on thy; Safety Complex. Bids are to be opened on ~'uesday, September 23rd at noon, in the Council Ch- ambers. Kilpatrick commented on the firemen's chicken and corn din~Er. City Attorney reported on some city 1ots~ stating that the pr3.ce was $1,25~.~0 per lot or 29.x.¢ per foot. City Attorney also requested a specie]. meting to be held on Wednes- day, September 2}~th at 7:~0 0~clock, P. M., to finali~~ the Boise-Case~.de Bond and Interest transaction. Third on the agenda was a report reg~.rdir~; DeCarlo~s property. Cit~* Engj_r~eer to cor~t~.ct DeCarlo. Under Mayor's comments the Ma~ror reported on a letter from Dr. Sh- eekeltoM regarding flu shots, and whethEr or not the City would b~ interested in havir~.g a clinic set up 3.n Laurel. The mayor asked that a letter b~ written to Dr. Sheckelton as being in favor of this. Mayor reported on the value of the mi11 this year. Motion was mace by Ebes~sviller and seconded by ~astor~ that this ordinance be declared passed end adopted. Upon taking roll call vote, X31 a7.- dermer~ present voted "Aye" and said ordinance was declared passed and adopt~;d. P~ayor then appoa.nt@d Ken Bevan as the official C.C.D. representative. Motion was made by Rodgers and seconded by Kilpatrick to approve this appoint- ment. Motion carried. Mr. Ken Olson, who had missed his place on the agenda appeared be- fore the e4uncil for the purpose of presenting an official b~-centennial f1~.g to the couzicil, with the hope that it could possibly loaned for special oc- casions to reputable clubs and organ3.zations. A picture of Mr. Olson, owner of Coast to Coast stores, and Mayor Yov~tich way taken at the presentation. Mayor reported on the budget aid the mill levy. In this connection, the budget committee having approved a levy of 78 m311s, mot3.on was made b~ Ebersviller axed seconded by Caxter that the 1975-1976 levy be approved ~t 78 mill. Motion carried.. Mayor read a letter from Mrs. Vaughn regarding starlings. Mayor read athank-you letter from the Sheriff of C~.rbon County regarding Ken Bevan and the Aqua Krsights. Nia;~or discussed Branstetter~s bid o~ ~1,1~0~.00 for doing the West end of the Fire Department building, and the ends of the Police Department. It was the opinion of the Council to let this go until the planning for re- modeling of the City H~.1.1 is camplet~d. Mayor brought up the subject of ~xtendir~g the irrigation rate on the water another month. Nation was made by Herman and seconded by Carter -ghat this utter be turned over to the water committee with authority to act. Motion carried. M~,~ror stated that the City has a ruling that no City Water ie to ~;o North of the Bag Ditch. Question off' Murray Heights S~bdivis3.on. He called a special meeting to be held with Dave McCull.ough on Wednesday, Septemb@r 24th. There being no further business to come before the Council at th3.s sse~sian, motion was made by Ebersvill~r and seconded by Kilpatrick that the meeting be adjourned.
