M. Yov~tich~ at 7:00 o~clock, P.M., on Tuesdays September 2~ 1975• Upon taking roll calls the following aldermen answered present: Tvm Hard Gay Easton Togn Kilpatrick Chuck Rodgers Sue Carter Ervin Metzger E. H. Ebersviller~ Sr. Larry Herman The minutes of the previous meeting of Aug. 19th, were read. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Hard that the minutes be approved. Motion caxried. City Treasurer's Financial Report for the month of July was pre- sented for approval. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Metzger to approve this report. Motion carried. Dione Smith reported on the swimming pool ar~d the reaereation program for the entire s~arrt~r. Ebersviller asked permission ~o leave the state. Motion was made by Kilpatr3.ck and seconded by Metzger that permission be granted. Motion carried. Metzger asked permission to leave the state. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Hard that permission be granted. Motion carried. Next on the agenda is the passage of an interim Zoning Ordinance extending one (1) mile beyond the city limits. A Mr. Ken Tolliver, attorney, appeared before the eo~ncil on behalf of Mr. George Fox concerning his property on the east edge of town. He stated that if this ordinance is adopted the zoning will cut right through the middles of his property. Mr. Tolliver re- ported that Mr. Fox is in the ~roce~s of insta~.ling a trailer court in this area and would like the entire property left out. After much discussion, it was suggested that this matter be taken under advisement. The City County Planning Board to study this matter to see if Mr. Fox is far enough along with his plans to justify exempting him f'rcm this ordinance. Ed La.Prath also appeared before the coi:ncil to ask that this Ordinance be explained to him. At this time the Mayor read ~Ghe entire ordinance. Roll call vote was taken with all aldermen goting "AXE". Motion carried. City Clerk would like permission to attend the Municipal league meetings in Missoula on September 11, 12 and 13th. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Herman that the city clerk be allowed to attend these meetings. Motion carried. The Mayor Mated that he and his wife cleaned up beer bottles in firemen~s p~xk on Sat. Morning. He asked that the Police Dept. try to ke~:p the kids from drinking beer in the parko The Mayor reported that Leonard Fichtner has a drivers education car that the city could buy for less than $4,000.00 so it wouldn't have to be advertised for bid. Motion was made by Herman and seconded by Eber~viller that the Police Committee be given the authority to.~urchase the used car from Fichtner's as long as it ~s under the ~1~~~00.00 and meets the necessary requirements. Motion cax^ried. Charles M onte~ would like permission to attend a building ofgicials conference in Bi1lir~gs on Sept. 10~ 11 and 12th. Motion was made by Easton and seconded by Rodgers that Montee be allowed to attend these meet3.ngs and the city to pay his registration fee. Motion carried.
