A Special ~Ieetir~g of the City Council of the City of Laurel
Mont~,~a~, was held 3n the council chambers, and waa called to order by
Pr~s3den~ of the Council, E. H. Ebersvill~r in the abse~c~ of the Mayor on Monday, August 11~ 197~~ at 7s3~ P. M.
Upon taking roll call, the follyring aldermen an~~rered prese~.t:
Gap Easton Susan Carter Tom Kilp~t~i~k
Tom Hsrd Chuck Rodgers
This m~~tis~g was called ~p~cificaliy to get council approval of
the purchase of new pick-up truck, and to h~~.r the report of the conunit-
t~e. The committee reported that Ford could not het any trucks. There
eou3.d bc~ three pickups pux~cha:~ed fro~a Ficahtn~r Ch~vrole-~. After dis~u~sion,
motion was made by' Kilpatrick ~.nd seconded by Easton to purchase three or
four pick-ups at the most reasonable price available. Motion carried.
Elston s~at~d that the three should be tied down right now, ar~d try for the fourth owe later, since it is not available at this time. Seconded b~ Rod-
gers. Motion earri~d.

~e~sion~ motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting be a~d~ourned.
