Yovetich at 7:00 o~elock, P.M., on Tuesday, August 5, 1.975• Upon tak3.ng roll ca11, the following aldermen answered present. Tcan Hard Gay Easton Tom Kilpatrick E. H. Ebersviller Chuck Rodgers Susan Carter Ervin Metzger Minutes of the last regular meeting of July 15th were read. Motion was made by Ebersviller and s~:conded by Hard that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. Minutes of the Special meeting of July 17th were read. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and ~ecvnded by Hard that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. Minutes of the first special meeting of July 22nd were read. Motion was made by Metzger and seconded by Ebersv3.ller that the minutes be approv~:d as read. Motion carried. Minutes of the second special meting of July 22nd were read. Motion was made by Carter and seconded by Metzger that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. Minutes of the third special meeting of July 22nd were read. lotion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded b~rl~etzger that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. Minutes of the Special meeting of July 23rd were read. Motion, was made by Carter and seconded by Hard that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried. Written request frcan Zarry Herman a.skin~ permission to leave the state was presented. Motion w~.s made by Metzger and seconded by Kilpatrick that permission be granted. Motion carried. Letter dated July 18th frcan Allen Bond, ~nclo~in~ his last sanitarian's report, and also presenting his resignation was presented. Motion was made bar Ebersviller and seconded by Metzger that the report be approved and the resigna- tion accepted ~r3.th regret. Motion carried. Certain reports of the city of Zaurel were presented for approval. as follows: City Clerk's Cash report, City Treasurer's Financial report, Clerk s Trial Balance for the month of June. Motion was made by Metzger and seconded by Ebersviller that the reports be approved. Motion carried. Motion carried. First on the agenda was alderman Metzger who g~,v~ a report on the $l~2,000.00 grant fran HUD. He stated this could be used for land acquisition and the Senior C3.tizens housing program. This would free $7,50 .00 frcm the Revenue Sharing Fund for the Moran payment, and $3,000.OQ for the Senior Citi~~n.s program. It was thought that this money could then be used for the purchase o~ about four pi.ckup~s. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Kilpatrick that the c3.ty purchase four pickups. Motion carried. Next on the agenda was Marshall Huntington who appeared before the council and asked to take over all the billing end bring the bills up to date. One of the ambulance employees would do the bill, and he asked to be allowed to turn over all bills more than six months old to a collection agency. I~tot3on was made to this effect by Easton and seconded by Metzger. Motion carried. There was discussion on the purchase of a new ambulance. Next was a report by Alderrn~n Kilpatrick on the Public Safety Ccxnmittee. City Eng3.neer asked that Charles Montee,, our building inspector, be allowed to attend a builcling inspection me~.ting in Helena. Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Easton that this be allowed. Motion carried. Polly Prchal, alderperson, and Walt Lesniak, alderman from Billings appeared before the cotancil along with Dan Hickey who demonstrated a proposed -r-- _ _ _ Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Bicentennial Park East of Billings on the Yellowstone River. They requested passage of the following resolution. x~sozv~rzo~ ~o. 1519 BE 1T RESOLVED the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana supports the idea and the proposals to be subm3.tted for the Bi-Centenial Park Project. Motion was made by Easton and seconded by Ebersviller to accept this Resolution. Motion carried. There being no further business to came before the councils motion was made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Hard that the meeting be adjourned.
