Ebersviller in the absence o~ the Magor, at 7.~~ o~cloek~ P. M., on Tuesday, June 1~~ 1975. i7pon taking ro11 call, the folla~ting al.d.~rmen answered present a E. H. Twomey, making an offer for some city lots. June 4, 1975 Mayor Louis Yovetich a.~d the Members of the Laurel City Council City Ha11. Laurel, Montana 59~lt1t Dear Louie ~,nd Member, of the City Couneil: This is to follow up on our discussion held ~,t City Council Meetirsg~ Tues- day, June 3~ 1975 and to make a matter of recoi^d of my interest in prepar- ing asubmission to HUD to de~relop elderly housing under the HUD housing as- sistance payment program in Laurel on the property which the citg presently owns, to trait Lots 11, Z2, 13, 1!t ~.nd 15 Block 1t Lots 11 through 2D inclusive in Block 1!~ Lots 11 through 20 inclusive in Block l~ A11 of Yellowstone Addition to City of Laur~1~ Montana. T have pr~eiously~ di~eussed with the City Attorney the possibility of op- tioni~g this property but to avoid a possible d~la~ in resolving this m~t- ter, Z am now prepared to purchase the ground ontri~ht to initiate the planning for this housing for the elderly development. Z wo~.l.d like to pay ~ ten percent of the $37,500 (Thirty-Seven Thous~.nd Five Hundred Dollars) I down ($3~75~) ~or~r and the remainder in one year. I hope these terms are acceptable to you. I regret I will be out of the city at the time of your special meeting on this matter next Tne+sd~~r evening, but I hope to b~ represented by my arch- I~ 3tect, Mr. Lowy Evans Jr. o~ Billings. Palmersheim Levey Evans, Jr. After di~~ussion~ motion was made by Kilpatrick end seconded by M~t$ger that the City da not sell these lots at the present tira~, but to sell to the successful bidder from HUD. at the highest fair market am~ra~sed value. City Attorney reported on this. ~I After diseussion~ Kilpatrick withdrew his first motion, Metzger withdrew his second, and then Kilpatrick made the motion that the lots in ~i Yellowstone Subdivision will be ear-marked for the 30 units of Senior Citi- zen's Housings and will not be sold at this time, but they will be sold to ~~i the highest successful bidder from HUD at the h3..ghe~t fair market appraised i v~l.u~.
