A Spec3a~.1. Meeting of the City* Council of the City 0f Zaurel, Mint.,
was held in the Council Chambers ar~d called to order by Mayor L.M. Ymvetieh,
at 7:3~ ~~cl~ck~ P.M., on T~~sdmy, April 8, 197•
Upon taking r011 calls the following ald~rn~en an~wer~d present:

Chuck ftmdger~ Ervin Metzger Henry Gamer
This second special meeting way called to accept the statutory re-
quire~ent that a public h~arin~ be held on the Subdivi~ior~ Rubs and R~gu7.ation~..
City Attarn~:y explained ghat if the Cities ~xid Towri~s fail t@ act ~n these rules
and regulaticros, then the city or town w3.11 came u~d~r the State Regulati~n~.
The City Atto~n~y r~t~.ted that the primary purpose of adapting the
rules end r~gula.ti~n~ is to give the cities and. towns game m~asux~ of ecmtrol over these regula~ion~ as reg~.rds subdivisions. The City-County Planning
Board can grant variances. City Attorney says that he feels this is a good
idea, and reeammended that these Rules be adopted 3n tat~l.. Motion way made
by Kilpatrick and seconded by Metzg~;r that these Rules and Regulatimn~ be
adopt~ei~ end a copy be made and gent to the Laurel L~.brary. M~~imn carried.
There being n~ further business to come before the council at this
session, motion eras made bar Kilpatrick and seconded by ftodger~ that the meeting
b~ adjourned. Motion carried.
