Motion was made by Eb~rsviller and seconded by Rodgers that the minutes be approved as corrected. Motion carried. the minutes from the Spe:eial Meeting of April 8~ 1975, at 7:00 P.M., were read. Motion was made by Kilpatrick ~.nd seconded by Hard that these minutes be approved. Motion carried. Thy minutes fry the Special Meeting of April 8, 1975 at 7x30 P.M.~ were read. Motion was made by Ebersvi.ller and seconded by Metzger ghat these minutes be approved. Motion carried. The Mayor stated that a~ th3s time he would like the aldermen to vote by secret ballot for alderman in the second ward to break the tie between Bob Burns and Sue Carter. Each alderman left the roam to east his ballet. Bob Burns stated that h~ would abstain from vat~ig. City Attorney and City Engineer acted ag 3udges. The official count as east by the City Council of the City I of Laurel, Montana, was Four (It) votes for Sue Carter and Three (3} vat~:s for i incumbent Bob Burn . After reconvening III the meeting, moticm was modes by Eaton and seconded by Rodgers that the bids be ref~s~r~d to the Cemet~r;T Board to be taken under advi~~ment. Motion earr3.ed. Motion was made by Rodgers and ~~conded by Burns that this report b~ approved. Motion earried. Thank you note from Clinton Anderson wa$ read. PQlic~ reports for the Months of Feb. and March were presented for approval. Motion was~a~de by Rad~ers and seconded by Gc~n~r that these reports be approved. Motion carried. The Mayor stated that Sprig is hers and the town is a~ae~s. He mentioned Li.~ter, dunk cars and dogs running r~npant. Thy Mayor turned th~~~ items over to the aldermen in their respective wards. Geer thanked the eotancil for putting up with him for the past two years, and stated that he has enjoyed being on the cc~uneil. The Mayor complimented f~c~ner for the Good fob he did while on the council. Burns also thanked the council end stated that he way sorry he get beat out. Rodg~r~ reported ghat ~her~ would b~ a meeting after the council m~e~Ging regarding the Fire -Police -Ambulance Complex. Eb~rsviller asked about the possibility of ~prayin~ the Park ~re~~ xhile theg are doxm~nt. This ~?atter turned over to a committee consi~-~ing of ~ka~rsvill~r, chairman Kilpatrick, Hard,, Daley and Dion Smith ~o ~~e if this is fea~~ble. Ebersviller asked permiss3.on to leave the State. Kilpatrick reported several ccxaplai.nts about Evergreen Express and Dillm~n's Body Shop looking like a dunk yard. R~ferrecl. t4 Lenhardt to check out . Easton reported on the pruning of the boulenarcl. trees bar the city crew. He Mated that they are ngt painting the scars. Thy Mayor told Daley to have these, men. use a little more discretion and pr~ssibly cagy a bucket of paint with them. Al Bond, City-County Sanitari~xi, reported that the Feder~.l Goverrn~?ent has set aide $735,400.00 for waste water pollut3.~r~ control. Dione ~nith reported on the progress of the Park Cc is~ior~ during their first ~r in operation. She also reported that they have hind working pool managers four lifeguards and 2 ba~ketgirls. 52~~ stated that new baclt~~ops and nets have be~sz~ installed ~.t the tennis cots. Dione also ~tat~d that the Park crew needy a truck and would like-the council t~ study this possibility. ~I Kilpa~riek stated ~ha~ he would like to have a w~.ter ec~nmitte~: meting on April 29th, for all old and new councilmen at 7:00 o~clock, P.M. Hard reported receiving a l~tt~r frcan Saschia Herman asking fir the following increases in the pl~bing in~pe~tor charges. 1. Sewer tap inspection frc~nn $5.40 to $8.00 2. PalmersheiYn pr~gented the following Resolution. Mention carried. __u_. - ------J-- - --.T .T - Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Palmersheim presented the following Urdinanc~: ORDINANCE N0. 610 BEING ~1tT ORDINANCE ADOPTING MINIMUM STANDARDS AI~1D PROCEDURE FOR TILE PLATING OR ANNEXING LAND WTTHI~3 DR CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF LAUREL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Motion was made by Easton and seconded by acmier ghat Orclinanee No. 610 be passed and adopted. Roll call vote was taken with all aldermen pre:s~nt voting "YES". Motion carried. The matter of the ci~~~-s liability and the a3.rpart maintenance problems will be referred to the Airport Commission for Study. Daley reported that MaLit Construction Company would like permission to install low profile curbs. Motion was made by Kilpatrick and ~~cond~d by. Rodgers that this mater be referred to the City-County Planning Board and the Zoning Board for furth~:r study. Motion carried. Jim Twomey reported to the council that Laurel has been unfunded for the $3,000.00 discretionary HUD funds. Sue Carter thanked Bab Bnrn~ for the election. Garvin Carter reported that the Local Government Study Ccan~tission would 1ik~ ~o talk to the present council cone~rning the prop ~ and cone on the present form of Goverment. There being no further business to camp before the council at this time, motion was duly made and secondr~d that the meting b~ ~.d~murn~d. Motion carried. ~ Sharon L.
