A regular meeting of the City Co~an.cil of the City of Laurel, Mont.,
was held in the Council Ch~nbers and called to order by Mayor Louis M.
Yovetich, at 7:~0 o'clock, P.M., on Tuesday, ~u~. 6, 1q7~.
Upon tak3.n~ roll cell, the following aldermen answered present:

as regd. Motion carried.
Falmersheim sttated that no one who has a fiancial interest in any
est~.blishment to be operated under a ~~in~_ng license can serve on the ~ambl3~ng
comm~..ssion. This would. me in that Charles George would not be eligible to serve on this canm~ ssi.on. Motion ~urus made bz~ Kilpa.trick and, seconded by
~~st~on to re.~ec~.:the~~Ma~o~s apgointmen.t of Charles George to tb.e Garlbling
Commission. The mayor was not in favor of removing ~7r. Geor,e. Motion carried
wa.th I~~ard ~rotina "No" . The Mayor stated that he felt th~_s motx.on: was out.

was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Gcar_er that the minutes be approved.

P.M., were read. Motion was made by Kilpatrick a.nd seconded by Gamer that the minutes be approved. Motion carried.

of the I~~urpl Police Lepartment. ?fir. ?~ullis spoke of his experience with the
Police Department U..fter h.e ref~.~.se~ to pay a traffic fine «nd spend 21~. hmzrs
in jail. ~3tallis also complained about the conda..t?.ons of the jail stating
that it *,tas unsanitary and i,nfit for ~zy prisoners. ~~r. Bullis was asked to make an itemized list of his remarks and present them to +.,k~e police corr~mittee
