Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
July 25: 1974
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City o~' Laurel, Mont.
w~~s held in the dater Office, and was called to order by Mayor Louie Yovetich,
at 7:35 o~clock, 1'.M., on Thurs~.ay~, Ju1y~ 2~, 1971.
Upon taking rn12 call, the .foll.owi.ng alder2nen answered present:

This meeting was called according to law for the specific purpose of pass~.n~f the tax resolutions, and sett~.ng the preliminary bud. ;et for the fiscal

Motion was made by Ebersviller and seconded by Easton that this Resolution
No. 1?~75 be declaxed passed and adopted and the budget set tentatively at
75 mills. Motion carried.

Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
After more discussion of the budget, motion was made by Kilpatrick
anc~ seconded by (x~ner that the ~~0,000.00 item k~udgeted for street equipment
be deleted. Motion carried.
Motion wa.s then made by Kilpatrick end seconded by Ebersviller that
the Police budget be revised., and cut by ~1~,00Q.OQ Motion carried with
Rodgers voting "No".
Motion was then made by Kilpatrick and seconded by Ebersviller that
the Parks and Recreation budget ba revised, and cut by $~.~000.00 Motion carried.
Motion was then made by Easton, and seconded by Gamer that the Fire
Department budget be cut by at least 10~, or ~3,2Q0.00 Motion carried.
There being no further business to came before the council a.t this sPSSian, mota~on was made by Comer and seconded by Ebersviller that the meeting
be a.d~ourned. Motion carried.
