Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
January ll~., 197b
A Special meting was called according ~o publication concerning
citizen reaction as to what sholald be done with certain grant money provided
it is made available to the City of Laurel.
Present were the three-person cmnmittee, city engineer, building
inspector, one alderman, Mr. Twomey, City Attorney and Dorothy P. Bundy.
Su~gestzons recorded were Parks and ~tecreation, Streets, T~ater &
Sewer lines, make loans t~ elderly persons at low interest for the purpose of fi~in~ up their hamPS~ buy ground for public improvements, use for water
settling basins, or to guarantee loans.
Three entities can apply for th~..s money. -Billings Metropolitan
.Area -Yellowstone County, and any other incorporated C3_ty (which would be
Laurel & Broadview).
There was d~_scu.ssion on several other possibili.~ies. There being nn
further business to c rnne before the ccxnmittee at this time, the meeting was
adjourned.
