OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: Gay Easton Andy Loebe Larry McCann Dave Michael Gary Temple Bud Johnson Bill Staudinger OTHERS PRESENT: Tom Vaughn 1) Larry and Andy gave a report on a meeting with Mr. Mahan. It was agreed to take out the berm on the east side of the alley in front of Mr. Mahan's garbage can, addressing the handicap situation as agreed to by Mr. Mahan. Motion by Bill Staudinger, seconded by Gary Temple, to send a letter to Mr., Mahan informing him of the committee's decision. Motion carried. 2) The Federal Aid Urban Systems program for 8th Avenue project was- discussed. A letter of support from the Yellowstone county dated November 5, 1997 was presented. Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by Bill Staudinger, to pass a resolution to select 8th Avenue as primary project and send a copy of the county's approval and the City's resolution in a letter requesting the State's involvement in this project. Motion carried. 3) Andy gave a report on the drain ditch and service $11,400. The Alder Avenue. A bid from Bob Brown came in at $11,4 committee agreed to ask Baker Construction for a bid before any decision is made. 4) Tom Vaughn from the Laurel Ridge Motel complained to the committee about his bill for garbage service. He stated that he had been before the committee before, but nothing had been done. With some concern and discussion it was agreed upon to check into the problem and check back with the committee. 5) After some discussion it was agreed upon to require an permit encroachment Saloon. Motion by Bud Johnson, seconded by Andy Loebe, to send a letter to Mr. Fink, citing the city ordinance of 30 days, to apply for a permit. Motion carried. 6) With discussion on sanding and routing it was agreed that the Public Works Department publish the snow removal route and post the same at City Hall. 7) Dump box fees were presented and discussed.
