STREET & ALLEY/SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE
FEBRUARY 19, 1998 5:30 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS

1) Moose - Caboose Saloon:
Gary Temple and Larry McCann met with Terry Fink regarding an
encroachment permit and a one time fee was discussed. Miles
Walton expressed a concern about the fence around the
structure. Joe Leckie still has a concern with the possible
liability to the City.
Larry McCann recommended a yearly fee of $50.00 as stated by
ordinance, and then adjust that as needed.
Motion by Gary Temple, seconded by Pat Campbell to
require an annual fee of $50.00. Motion carried.
2) A bill for $8,000.00 from Carl Rookhuizen for curb and gutter
on W. 12th was discussed. A motion was made to recommend
approval. Motion was carried.
3) Curb and gutter requirement for the new care facility on W..
12th that Merle Cherry is building was discussed. Part of the
curb is in the street right-of-way due to the layout of the
street in the past.
4) Larry McCann explained new home garbage can fee and that the
fee for Rookhuizen be tied to the water hook-up for garbage
use fee.
5) Larry McCann explained the need for the enforcement of right-
of-way width for tree branches and has plans to inform the
public.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
