STREET & ALLEY/SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE
APRIL 16, 1998 5:00 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
PRESENT: Gary Temple Marvin Carter
Bill Staudinger Larry McCann
Andy Leobe Gary Easton
1) Larry McCann proposed to proceed with the application from
Welcome Travelers Motel to install curb and gutter on east
side of 7th Avenue and landscape for a sound barrier, then
continue with curb, gutter and sidewalk on 7th Avenue and Main
Street to the north of the Motel.
Motion by Gary Temple, seconded by Bill Staudinger to proceed.
Motion carried.
2) Larry explained placement of garbage cans along with once-a-
week pick-up to be started soon in the east and from 1st
Avenue to the city limits. Larry would like to have new homes
have a buy in of garbage with a fee of $120 and with a $200
buy in for new business.
Motion by Gary Temple and seconded by Bill Staudinger. Motion
carried.
3) Clean up week will be the week of May 11th. A notice will be
placed in the Laurel Outlook.
4) Larry will hand deliver a follow-up letter to Mr. Fink for the
encroachment at Caboose.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
