WATER PLANT,.S.TEERING COMMITTEE
DECEMBER 19, 1,994 11:00 A.M.

The intent of this meeting is to make a final decision on what
scope of work needs to be done on the water plant and water system
so Double Tree can finalize the grant application.
After a lengthy discussion every committee member agreed with the
following recommendations:
Option #1
Filters:
- Effluent piping/flow controls
Back wash piping
- Filter to waste piping
Transfer pumping station
Chemical System:
- Feed, pacing, mixing
- Chlorine feed & storage
- Taste & order
Basins:
- Concrete repair and modify
Plant Improvements:
- Backwash basin addition
- Direction filtration
Plant Automation/electrical
Modify plant inlet piping (new low service pump and
piping)
Auxiliary power and switch gear
Water line bottle neck
- from First Ave. South, S. 4th Street to W.
Main St. and Fifth Avenue.
- 1$" water main
Paint 4 mg. Reservoir
- Paint interior and exterior
- Rehabilitate existing 1.5 mg.tank or construct
standpipe to allow repair of 4 mg. reservoir.
Option # 2
Includes all of Option #1 (above) plus the following:
New Reservoir
- New 1.0 mg. bolted steel tank
- 7300 if of 12" tank transmission loop
- Dead end loop on W. 9th and system isolation
Estimated cost of each option will be finalized by consultant and
submitted to City.
