A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
Discussion was held on the damage to the Bomag done on
Sept. 12, 1992 at the Transfer Site. John Volmer explained
that he was using the Bomag to push dirt in the old Landfill.
The Bomag got hot while working. He let it, -.cool down and was
traveling toward the Transfer Site when the Bomag lost power
and quit.
The Committee discussed operators procedures in operating
the Bomag. There was some difference of opinion on the procedure
and the length of time before it gets hot.
The Committee recommends a operator check list be established
on each piece of equipment and followed up on to prevent any
unnecessary damage to the equipment in the future, if possible.
Discussion on the damage to the Transfer Truck (G--2) done
at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bob Volmer explained that he
was turning around in a tight area and drove up on and into a
bank next to the fence when the damage occured.
The Committee recommends that the operator of the Transfer
Truck use better judgement in area when turning. They also
recommend that the drivers use the area around the drying bed
to drive ahead instead of backing up, if possible.
