A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
Discussed the damage to two garbage can enclosures and
a mailbox by John Minch with the garbage truck (G-6).
Some of the problems discussed were: The design and number
of cans in garbage can enclosures; design of cul-de-sacs, not
a good design for picking up garbage; parking of vehicles in
cul-de-sacs in various ways creating problems; overhang on
the garbage truck; new operators on trucks not sure-of themselves.
Some of the solutions that we may look into for the future:
Different designs of arms on trucks; more training for people
operating truck to learn the controls and operation; placement
of cans may need to be studied in the future; and, a different
or better design for garbage can enclosures.
