SAFETY MEETING
AUGUST 31, 1993 1:00 P.M.

Discussion was held on looking at the present equipment we have,
and what it will take to get it all working and up to OSHA specs.
The shoring box needs 1.25 inch think plywood walls (shields) to
get it up to specs. Dave will find out the price of getting it
fixed, and a price on used shoring boxes, from Case.
Discussion on the proper trenching procedures. We need some
guidelines.
We need new hydraulic mixture to replace the diesel in the trench
boxes, and we need to find out if it will freeze in cold weather.
The Manhole A-frame that is used does not have an Engineer's seal
of approval or an anti-fall device. NorMont Equipment charges
$2,140 for a new one. It was decided that some cost-comparison
needs to be done on these A--frames.
