A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
We now have an estimate of $3,300 to re-construct two bathrooms in
City Hall.
A closed circuit TV system would cost approximately $1,500--$2,000.
The committee has recommended the closed circuit TV system as an
answer to making the Council meetings accessible to the handicapped.
The only employment testing done by the City is at the Police Depart-
ment. Alan has-submitted a copy of the skills examination for police
dispatcher and a copy of the selection process for both police officer
and dispatcher.
Margit Thorndal has contacted Mr. Bob Corwin, the Athletic Director at
the School of Deaf and Blind, regarding an alarm system for the
hearing impaired. This can be done by connecting a light alarm system
to be used along with a fire alarm. Something similar could also be
used at the swimming pool.
Don said that a.summary will be written and distributed to the committee
before being submitted to the City Council.
Respectfully submitted,
