Discussion on property at 310 Woodland owned by Ray Blohm. He had
broken pipes and the resulting bill was $331.00 for water and
$735.00 for sewer for a total of $1041.00.
Motion by Bill Staudinger, seconded by Jim Flisrand to adjust
to average sewer bill and total water usage. Motion carried.
Discussion on property at 418 Idaho owned by Clarence Herbert. He
had broken pipes and the resulting bill was $254.00 for water and
$536.00 for sewer for a total of $790.00.
Past practice is to always assess full water and sewer if it goes
down the sewer. Average water usage is 500 to'600 cubic feet.
Motion by Miles Walton, seconded by Jim Flisrand, to recommend
that Mr. Herbert pay all of the water bill and 50% of the sewer
bill and adjust the sewer rate. Motion carried.
Discussion on Workshop meeting.
Discussion on water rate study.
General discussion on late bills. A consistent program should be
developed regarding all late bills. Perhaps the Budget Committee
could propose guidelines regarding the late bills. Currently the
staff tries to make payment schedules to collect late bills.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
