PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE
APRIL 14, 1997 5:00 P.M.

1) Jeanette reported on the status of Mr. Rolison of 541 Fairview
Lane water meter and bill, as per the letter sent to him on
April 4, 1997.
The committee discussed the matter and will continue to
monitor the situation.
2) Jim reported on a sinking sewer line on the 900 block of 10th
Avenue.
After it was discussed it was decided that Jim Flisrand will
investigate the matter.
3) Sewer adjustments for water leaks in a residence.
After a discussion it was decided that the staff will prepare
guidelines and policies to present at the next meeting.
4) Discussion on the resolution to delay effective date on the
water rate increase. The resolution is on the agenda for the
April 15, 1997 council meeting.
5) Discussion on the stuffer on how to read the utility bill.
Bud Johnson prepared the stuffer on how to read a utility
bill.
5) Jeanette requested information on what is required to dig a
well within the city limits.
Jim will review the needs.
7) Discussion on reviewing water consumption quarterly on history
reports.
Discussion on keeping track of public questions. When the
questions are repeatedly asked they need to be brought to the
Public Utilities Committee for possible action.
