PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE
DECEMBER 11, 1997 6:40 P.M.

Water Line to Riverside Park:
Larry stated the estimated cost to install an insulated water line
across the bridge to Riverside Park will be $ 70,000.00. Larry has
hired Morrison and Maierle to design the proposed water line.
Discussion regarding the financing of the project. The City will
investigate the possibility of using an Intercap loan or general
revenues to finance the project.
It was stressed the importance of moving on this while Cop
Construction is currently working. If the project is delayed, the
cost could reach $ 250,000.00.
Motion b Miles Walton, seconded by Dave Michael to recommend
the installation of a 4" insulated water line on the Yellowstone
River Bridge for safety issues such as public health and fire
concerns. Motion passed.
Water Task Force Concerns:
Larry McCann presente the Water Task Force Concerns about Cenex's
14" tap and the water plant's intake concerns to the committee with
further information coming from said committee in the near future.
Request for Proposals:
Larry presented the committee's recommendations to proceed with the
Request for Proposals (RFP) for the sewer department (plant and
system) for present and future needs.
Motion by Dave Michael, seconded by Miles Walton to proceed
with the RFP's for proposals. Motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
