A quorum being present , the following action was taken by the committee ;
The committee discussed filling two Police Officer positions , one now
vacant and anotkor around the first of March. The Police Commission recommended
William Slaymaker of Medicine Lake and John Szydlowski of Forsyth, both presently
serving as Police Offieers.Rishard Musson , presently a city employee who had bid
on the position , scored between those two officers but was rejected by the
Commission due to lack of experience and/or training.The city union leas indicated
that it intends to file a grievance.
A motion was made by Duane Bohn to meet with union representatives and
see if Jhe grievance would be dropped if Musson were appointed to fill the
second position.
Motion was seconded amd passed.
The committee also discussed Roger Odes's vacation and recommends that
Odes take his vacation imwediatley if at all possible. This will involve some
overtime to cover his shift.
