POLICE COMMITTEE

B. Other's present:
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
1) Discussed general order to officers regarding foot patrol, vehicles
and breaks.
2) Discussed traffic on 6th Street. Everyone considers it a thru-
street.. Chief Crowe feels 6th should be assigned a thru-street
with stop signs on all streets coming into it. Also a possibility
of a stop or yield at 6th and Juniper. Cal Cumin will be contacted
for further information regarding this.
3) Chief Crowe feels that if we don't consolidate it would be worth
checking into the possibility of getting a police computer. The
utilities department is also discussing the possibilities of a
computer. These two could possibly be together. More discussion
will follow at a later date.
4) Richard Smith asked about our reserves helping out at the skating
rink. The committee felt we shouldn't get involved and a letter
will be sent on this by Chief Crowe.
5) Lud to Basic Animal Control School in April. Szydlowski to Photo-
graphy School in March. Rosenberg to Drug School in April.
6) Vehicles: #6 - Cavalier - $1,127 has been put into this car for less
than one years operation. Alan feels we drastically need to do some-
thing. More discussion on this will take place at budget time.
7) Pager system discussed. Paul Peterson will provide Alan and Mike with
pagers to use on a trial basis for 30-days. The outcome will be dis-
cussed next Ambulance and Police Committee meetings.
(8) Parking fees: 1st time offense will be $25.00
2nd time $50.00
i I will be getting with Alan and Joe Bradley to discuss the ordinance.
?9) Ordinance on snow removal: Lonnie will check with Joe Bradley on
ordinance.
Meeting adjourned at 6:.50 p.m.
Next meeting on March 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Safety Complex.
