POLICE COMMITTEE

A. Members present: Chairman Chuck Dickerson
Alan Crowe Lonnie Kellogg . , Ed Gable
B. Otherts present: Albert Ehrlick , Grant Lawver, George Wagner,
Mike Atkinson, Joe Bradley, Jean Thompson
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
1) Replacement for.Szydlowski: Was.recommended that Jim Morrison
be appointed by the Mayor and a temporary position be created.
Mayor.Ehr.lick appointed Jim Morrison to the police department
for 30 days.
2) Police car: New car was ordered with two changes:
1) Car will be all white which will help on resale value.
2) Will be equipped with air conditioning.
3) Joe Bradley is creating an ordinance regarding officers and
reserves from working in private security.
4) Chief Crowe discussed-the possibility of having the Sergeants
position made into an investigative sergeants position
sometime in the future.
5) Chief Crowe is meeting with the Union regarding overtime hours
due to Szydlowski's absence.
b) Letter was sent to the owners of the property on Maryland and
Montana and they have been given 10 days to respond.
Meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
Next meeting August 22nd at 5:30 p.m. at Complex.
