POLICE COMMITTEE

B. Other's present: John Johnson , Duane Berke Rick Musson
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Discussed a lease program for police cars. John Johnson will work
out a program i"or us. It will be presented to the Council at a
later date.
Chief Crowe met with Joe Bradley and Larry Herman regarding the
2-hr. parking. The following items were discussed:
1) New parking tickets
2) New system for keeping track of tickets, no shows and
written notices
3) Possibility of having a clerk at City Hall or part time
person keep track of tickets, send out mailings and be
available for some clerical work by City Attorney and
Judge (about 12 hours a week). -- the month of October
there were b0 no show parking tickets --
There were 22 applications for temporary patrolman position. Cut
off was October 31st. Testing will be done on November 14th.
Police Commission will meet the night of the 14th for interviews
with the out of town prospects.
't'here is no new information on Don or John.
Parking in the Central Business District while construction is
going on will be permitted by obtaining a written permit from the
Police Department for specific time required. ..There will be an
ordinance created for this.
Meeting adjourned at 7 p.m.
Next meeting will be December 6th at 5:3U p.m. at the Sarety Complex.
