A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Discussion on Public Safet
study of Underpass, left turns , passing on right of those making
left hand turn where the island used to be. How should these be
enforced? We will discuss with the City Engineer and maybe the
Highway Department.
Discussion on Spruce Grove exit
n_?,.9 ? There is only one way in and out. Emergency vehicles could have
0`"" c,,,,?'problems, and something needs to be done now. The Committee
r? recommends that the City Engineer and Street and Alley Committee
solve this problem.
911 Sy-stem
Report by Chief Crowe on 911 system. Money brought in will be
buying a recorder for all in coming lines.
DUI-Task Force mone
Chief Crowe brought up for discussion DUI Task Force money. The
$ 16,000 coming back to the County is to be split up among the
different departments wishing to take part in the program. The
money is to be used to pay officers the overtime for DUI arrests.
This operation has alot of questions yet to be answered.
Motion by Bob Graham, seconded by Chuck Dickerson to table the
discussion on DUI Task force until more information is availabe.
Motion carried 6--0.
