POLICE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
The Committee drafted the contents for an Ordinance on
24 hour gambling in the City of Laurel.
The Ordinance will read that 24 hour gambling will be
• in effect 7 days a week and will include live cards, live Keno
and Poker, and electronic machines. Officer's will be admitted
at all times; no food requirements; the alcoholic beverages will
be locked up at 2:00 a.m.; live music will cease at 2:00 a.m.;
other forms of entertainment will cease at 2:00 a.m.; no noise
will be allowed to emit from premises; and no dancing after
2:00 a.m.
Other comments were that the business will be required to
post a copy of the Ordinance, if passed, on their wall, and they
will be required to post a copy of the open container law.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
