POLICE COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Discussion on the bid received from Fitchner Chevrolet
for the new police car. The bid was for $15,249, and the
amount budgeted was only $13,000.
Motion by Bob Graham, seconded by Lonnie Kellogg to
decline the bid. Motion carried.
John Rosenberg was present to discuss some changes he
would like made in the Police Reserve Manual and in the
training allowance and pay.
Motion by Ron Marshall, seconded by Bob Graham to refer
the changes to the City Council for approval.
John was directed to check with Joe Bradley in writing up
a Resolution for the changes for the November 7th Council
meeting.
Chuck Rodgers reported on the 4th of July Committee.
The biggest concern seems to be transportation and enforcement.
Some of the things that will be addressed before July 4th will
be: Bussing and shuttle service, street closures, security,
loading zones, long and short term parking, licensing for
vendors, and no beer sales in the Park. -
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
