business was conducted:
OTHERS PRESENT:

or more members being present the following
First Item Of Business; A discussion was held concerning the use
of the Police Reserve at special functions in the community. Brian Fischer
stated the he needs at least two weeks notice so that he can organize
and arrange for officers to cover any event. Motion made by Bob Graham,
seconded by Lonnie Kellogg, that any group or organization must (1) give
at least two weeks notice and (2) contact the Police Reserve themselves
in order to be assured that the Police Reserve will be able to take care
of their function. Motion carried.
Second Order of Business; Ron Marshall reported that he had been
in contact with officers of the Carbon County Sheriff's Department and
the Wheatland County Sheriff's Department concerning their use of the
Ford Taurus in police work. He stated that the two officers reported
no problems with this type of vehicle and that they were well satisfied
with overall performance and serviceability of these units. By the next
police committee meeting Alan will check with these two agencies and also
with local dealerships regarding specifications and estimated costs
involved in purchasing a similar size and type police car.
