A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
Discussion on parking and traffic control for the 4th of
July. Barricades will be put in place by 7:00 a.m. on the
4th.
There will be 3 highway patrolmen in the area, 8 to 10
police reserves, and 3 City patrolmen.
Acting Chief, Mike Atkinson, reported that there was hail
damage done to Car No. 1. The Committee suggested taking cash
instead of having the damages repaired.
Mike will start the bid process for a new police car.
The department needs a new radar gun and would like to order
it as soon as possible.
Mike reported on the new hand guns for the-*Department.
They are City owned.
The department should advertise for a patrolman and start
the application process as soon as possible.
