SEPTEMBER 28, 1993

FAP COMPLEX
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mike Atkinson
Lonnie Kellogg
Albert Ehrlick
Dave Slaymaker
Ron Marshall
A quorum of three (3) or more members being present the
following business was conducted;
FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS: Committee met and reviewed
proposed addendum to Police Manual concerning job description
for dispatchers. Some changes were made to the rough draft
that had been drawn up by Mike and Dave. Motion made by Albert
Ehrlick and seconded by Lonnie Kellogg that this policy be
referred to the Council for approval. Motion carried.
SECOND ORDER OF BUSINESS: Committee discussed area behind
Taco John's that transients currently use for a camp. the
committee asked Mike and Dave to contact the railroad to see
if they would put up no trespassing signs. In so doing, the
department could then remove these people from the area.
THIRD ORDER OF BUSINESS: The matter of security in the
dispatch area was discussed. Mike informed the committee that
as soon as the new dispatch equipment is installed and running
the door to the bay area will be locked. Officers will enter
the station through the DUI room. Fire and Ambulance personnel
will use the back hallway and all others will use the front
entrance.
