JUNE 26, 1994
FAP COMPLEX
C 5:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Ron Marshall, chairman
Albert Ehrlick
Mike Atkinson
A quorum of three (3) or more members being present the
following business was conducted;
First item of business; Discussion was held concerning
the disposal of vehicles that the department has impounded
Questions arose as to the forgiving of storage fees and
advertising arose. The committee decided to have the city
attorney rule on the legalities of this matter.
Second item of business; Motion by Albert Ehrlick, seconded
by Ron Marshall to have Bill Gaynor repair the damaged police
car that was involved in an accident with the ambulance. The
car will be repaired for $300. Motion carried.
Third item of business; Committee discussed providing
protection to the Laurel Airport Authority. Mike explained
that he has received an opinion that they are a separate entity.
This matter was referred to the Council for discussion.
Fourth item of business; Committee discussed the
resignation of Dave Slaymaker from the Department. Motion made
by Albert Ehrlick, seconded by Ron Marshall to have Mike Atkinson
request applications from members of the Department applying
for the Captain's position. Motion carried.
