MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Marshall, chairman Lonnie Kellogg Albert Ehrlick Dave Slaymaker Dan Lowell Mike Atkinson Rick Musson OTHERS PRESENT: Gay Easton Donna Kilpatrick Jennifer Draper John Minch The committee met to address concerns that have been expressed at pre-council meetings. These complaints come from concerned citizens who have voiced complaints. John Minch stated that he had received a complaint from Mary Ann Guenthner about transients being in parks after dark. Discussion followed. It was suggested that the hours of the parks be changed from midnight to 10:00 P.M. A comment was made about baseball games that last later than 10:00 P.M. in Thompson Park. Motion made by Albert Ehrlick, seconded by Lonnie Kellogg, that the this matter be referred to the Park Committee for a review and recommendation. Motion carried. The matter of large trucks parking on city streets for extended periods was discussed. The matter of 5 day parking and the use of the Animal Control Officer was discussed. Mike stated that the ACO does mark cars and trailers. Donna Kilpatrick brought up the situation at Thompson Park about non-disabled people parking in the designated handicapped parking spot. Mike said he would check it out. Lonnie Kellogg stated that at certain intersections in town shrubbery and trees make visibility poor. Mike stated that he would check out city ordinances and consult the city attorney for an opinion. He stated that all alderman should check their own areas and report to him situations that they would like to see corrected. Meeting adjourned at 5:50 P.M.
