MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Marshall, chairman Dave Slaymaker Mike Atkinson Gay Easton Rick Musson Mike Zuhoski Mike Atkinson reported that he had received no response for estimates from Entre Computers of Billings. He reported that he had received a new proposal from Swift Communications (see attached) for hardware. As the letter indicates they would enhance their bid for $10,300 by adding extra equipment for no additional charge. Mike indicated that our current system is "down" and with upcoming vacations coming up training and installation of the new system should be done directly so that no big delays are experienced. Discussion of the proposal followed. . After discussion, motion by Mike Atkinson, seconded by John Minch, that we purchase the computer hardware from Swift Systems for $10,300. Motion carried. Butte, MT. 59701 1(800) 215-6679 April 17, 1996 Dear Chief Atkinson, Please amend the bid we sent you to reflect the following changes and upgrades: Instead of 3 workstation, we will provide 4. They will have Pentium processors and 540 meg HD. The dispatch machine will have a 28.800 modem build in (necessary for receiving any software upgrades SWIFT releases.) The server will-be upgraded to a Pentium 133 w/2 G.B. HD and a.1 G.B. tape back up. The printers will be upgraded to: 2 HP 680 CX color inkjets. We will also provide up to 40 hours of training to your employees. We will not upgrade the machine that was in dispatch (per Captain Musson). End of bid amendment.
