MEMBERS PRESENT: Ron Marshall, chairman Mike Atkinson Rick Musson OTHERS PRESENT: Bill Sorg Dave Metzger Henry Ehrlick Connie Lind David O'Rear Dianne O'Rear Discussion held concerning ordinances that had been reviewed from other localities concerning the parking of recreational vehicles on public streets. The only ordinance that addressed the problem was from Conrad. Conrad only allows recreational vehicles to park upon the streets for four hours for the purposes of loading and unloading. In effect the ban the parking of these units. Discussion held again of ?assing an ordinance allowing RVs to be parked from April 1 to October 31. Mike and Ron will get with Joe Leckie to have language drawn up and referred back to the committee. Those attending were told that all other types of vehicles including horse trailers, flat-bed trailers, and junk vehicles would be subject to existing parking ordinances. Persons who had attended these meetings would be informed when proposed ordinances would be reviewed. Mike informed the committee that parts of the old computer system could be incorporated into another work station for the department's use. He said the cost would be around $500.00. Mike will get more particulars and come to Budget and Finance Committee. Ron Marshall mentioned the fact that there are a lot of people in the city that park vehicles in their front yards creating a very junky appearance. Talk centered around making people park these vehicles in the back 50% of the property keeping most of them out of view from passersby. Meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
