SUBJECT: Recommend adoption of Job Descriptions
The City Council authorized Richard Larsen and Associates to develop job descriptions
for all non-union personnel and recommendations regarding other personnel issues. Mr.
Larsen completed his report in 1994, however, the City Council has not followed through
with adoption.
The Personnel Committee recommends the City Council adopt all non-union job
descriptions. as submitted by resolution. All job descriptions should be adopted by
resolution with exception to Elected Positions, City Clerk, City Attorney, Chief of Police,
and Director of Public Works which require adoption by ordinance.
In addition to the adoption of all non-union job descriptions, the Personnel Committee
recommends Mr. Michael be appointed as Utility Superintendent and a Maintenance
Superintendent position be opened for supervision of all maintenance activities.
