The Good Sam Gallivanters are planned a state convention of their
group in Riverside Park the last weekend in September. Approximately
200 rigs are expected. Bill moved, Gay seconded that we charge each rig
$5.00 per day for parking in the park for the weekend. motion carried.
Regular fees are $15.00 per day for the use of hook-ups and $7.50 per
day for "dry camping" under which most of the Good Sam rigs will be
classified and the facilities in the park will not be used.
Advertisements will be placed in the newspaper for hiring at the
swimming pool.
Other areas of discussion included dogs in the parks, parking near
the high school on East Eight St.; and progress on the South Pond

made.
Members of the Laurel Chamber of Commerce will be invited to
the March 27 meeting of the park committee to update the committee on
plans for the log cabin restoration/addition, etc. The Laurel Baseball
Organization group will be at the March 13 meeting with detailed plans
of improvements at the fields in Thomson Park.
