Discussion regarding having Christmas in July on the 24 h and 25"'. Power will be
needed at Firemen's Park on the 24ffi and 25`t'. Motion by Gay Easton, second by Larry
McCann. Motion carried.
Walt Foster gave a very informative and organized presentation on the Rendezvous at
Riverside Park August 3rd through August 13`h. Discussion on Rendezvous providing
insurance. Larry will check with the,city attorney and will let Walt Foster know.
Complaint on people playing golf in the park. Need to develop an ordinance on golf in
the park.
Trees in the business district need to be pruned.
Discussion on garbage cans in the park.
Discussion regarding Firemen's Park never having a lease from the railroad for the park,
just for the cabin. XIRL will lease the land for Firemen's Park with the stipulation that
the park is fenced from First Avenue to the west edge of the park along the railroad
tracks.
Discussion on renting a man lift to cut trees at Riverside Park and place in river for
riprap. Lift will cost $1,000 a week.
Discussion on pool. Larry presented to the committee how things will be run this year.
Next meeting will be May 21" at 4:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
