PARK COMMITTEE
JUNE 11, 1998 4:30 P.M.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS
A thank you letter was received from lack Bayne at the Laurel Schools thanking
the Park Committee and the City of Laurel employees for all their help during
Laurel Aviation Week.
Discussion on leases and insurance at Riverside Park. Larry will check with the
city attorney on the liability of the cityand the amount of insurance the lessee
must carry. Larry will also check with Alexis on insurance matters.
Discussion about the Lions Club and the City's agreement with them on
developing South Pond. A meeting is being set up with the Lions, the City,
Representative Ken Miller and Cal Cumin. The meeting will be at a future date in
July.
Lang will notify Terry Casey that she will have to deal with the county on leasing
West Park as the county governs leases.
On June 10h we had a combined City and County Park Board meeting. The
minutes from the combined meeting are forthcoming.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
