RE: Use of Riverside Park
On Friday and Saturday, June 18 and 19, 1999, the American Belgian
Malinois Club is holding All-Breed Dog Agility Trials. This will
be an event sanctioned by the American Kennel Club.
We would like to be able to hold these trials at Riverside Park in
Laurel. The area we propose to use is indicated on the attached
map. The trial times would be from 6 am to 6 pm both days and we
are anticipating anywhere from 50-100 dogs at the trials.
Participants at the trials would be either camping at the park or
staying at Laurel hotels. There would be no admission charge for
spectators. The club has its own insurance that would cover the
trials and proof of.this insurance will be provided before the
trials occur.

Dear Members,
Childx?xi.?
?+liracl?„_
I am writing this letter to ask for the use of Fireman's Park for a fund raising event. We
at Ace Hardware are organizing a full day of fund raising events for The Children's
Miracle Network. Some of the activity's include a raffle of sports cards and memorabilia, a
chili cook off and chili sale, a Punt, Pass & Kick competition for children ages 7-12 and to
close the day we have a dance at Fireman's park complete with live music and concessions.
We would like to use Fireman's Park as the site of both the chili cook off & sale and
also the Dance In the Park.
We have received a donation of live music from the band 7th Ave. We feel that by .
having the dance at Fireman's Park it will promote a relaxed and down-home attitude that
will benefit both the community and the charity as well..
CMN is a non profit organization, I have enclosed some literature that gives you
background information on the charity. The most important part about this organization,
in my opinion, is that the money we raise from these events stays in OUR community.
CMN is affiliated with a hospital in Billings so the money we raise will go directly to a
hospital that serves our community.
I am making my request in person as I feel that the use of the park is an important
ingredient in the success of this project. I will also be promoting these events on
television in the form or a live interview by a Billings news station, as well as radio
announcements, ads in the newspapers and flyers put up throughout the city.
If there are any questions or concerns I would be happy to speak with you one on one
or by phone. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I have enclose my business card
but if you need to reach me at home my number is 628-6281.
Thank you for your time and participation in this worthwhile event.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey L. Shelton
